Rotomolding Furniture and Household Supplies

Three options could be offered when this question is asked. First is PVC casting(PVC powder needs to be mixed into a sticky liquid before being put into the mold) and PE casting(using powder directly), 2nd is classified by types of molds like metal fabrication, cast and machined, the 3rd is by types of machine i.e. shuttle machine,   clamshell machines, vertical wheel machines, rock and roll machines, and turret machines. In recent years, new trials comes such as new electronic heating machines using a robot arms.

It is a perfect process for tanks, containers, decorations, as well as functional bodies/shells like pet kennels, machine housings, electronic boxes, etc.         

The unique features of rotomolding is free stress manufacturing, flexible/innovative/creative shape/appearance and low tooling investment, which is very good for startup project especially hollow articles.       

Rotomolding is a hollow product-making process by plastic powder melt and formed in a cavity mold heated when rotating at 360° degrees.     

PE (polyethylene) is the most used in roto molding, including LLDPE, MDPE, HDPE, and XLPE, PP (polypropylene) and PA (nylon) can also be rotomolded. Other materials like PTFE, ABS, and PC are not so popular with also more limits for production.
